Carry all for the pens
So after I made personalized pens, I realized I needed something in the shop to add to it, as pens aren't really a big seller in the shop. So after some shopping, research, consulting with friends about what they did and didn't like about other padfolios, I came up with this one.

Project on hold
Ever get all the materials for a project and get excited about it only to find that you can't get the courage to go through with it? Well I guess for me, it's not that I don't have the courage, more that I know what I want in my head to make and am a little scared I'm going to screw it up and spoil my perfect project idea.
I need to suck it up, carve out some time and just make it. What is it? A Chalk-Mat Travel Doodle. Kind of like the Aquadoodle my son has that has lost the novelty. Maybe playing with the chalk marker instead of the water pen will excite him for a couple weeks :)
Be checking back to see if I make it!

Hand Stamped Jewelry
So last year I got it in my head that I wanted a hand stamped necklace. And of course, being me, more than wanting to buy one and wear it, I wanted to learn how to make it! So late one night I went online and bought all the supplies and thought I'd give it a go.
Well with so many Etsy stores that sell them, I'm not sure I really have a big chance of selling them. Other than the fact that I price them right. Some stores are seriously high priced, but it must work for them.
The past week has brought in a few jewelry sales which has been encouraging and led me to post a few more necklaces in the shop. So here are some shots of them.
I've ordered some new stamps, a star, dragonfly and dog bone. I'll make some small discs and post those once they show up. Mocha might even get a new puppy necklace :)

Thanks to those who helped out in 2009
Before starting 2010 on the blog, I thought I'd say thanks to the blogs who helped out with business either by buying an item from the store, doing a blog giveaway, or just throwing support my way. So to the following blogs, thanks!
Adventures of a Wannabe Supah Mommy for sponsoring a review and giveaway of my snack bags :)
Mingle Over Mocha for doing a review and giveaway on her blog. She's got a few blogs about homeschooling, real estate and mom things. Check her out!
Miss Mel at Night Light Stories for using one of my snack bags in her contests.
I'm definitely up for doing a blog review or giveaway if you have a blog and do contests that pull in support for Etsy stores. Just shoot me an email, or send me a message on Facebook!

Starting 2010
Holy moley! It's been forever since I blogged about my store. My focus for 2010 is going to be to blog about the shop, all the craft things I'm working on and get my store name out there a bit... We'll see how it goes :)
It's not rocket science, how hard can it be??? (I hear the chuckles!)
But seriously, I've spent some time over the past year checking out other craft blogs and store blogs and mom blogs and all the blogs in general and some people have time and focus to do it, with thousands of followers that the idea of having a blog with only a few followers, or none at all just kind of intimidated me. Why do one at all I figured?
So I spent the year working on my own blog, practicing, reviewing, researching, and I'm just going to do it. But rather than worry about it getting popular or leading to business, I'm just going to have fun with it.
So if you read this blog, thanks for stopping. I really do appreciate it. Be sure to leave a comment or become a follower :) I'd love to get to know what crafty things you like to do and your talents. There are so many creative people out there :)
So come on 2010! Let's see what this year holds!
